Where an instrument is chargeable with ad valorem duty in respect of money in any currency other than the currency of the State, such duty shall be calculated on the value of that money in currency of the State according to the rate of exchange current at the date of execution of such instrument.
If the transaction is in a foreign currency, what conversion rules apply?
Where the consideration in respect of a transaction is in a foreign currency, the stamp duty is to be charged on the Irish currency equivalent of the foreign currency according to the exchange rate on the date the instrument is executed.
