Our client purchased a creche in 2007 he claimed capital allowances on this property. This property was rented as a creche until 2015 when it was vacated by the tenant our client has since then tried to rent it as a creche however has been unsuccessful in getting a tenant does the fact that this property ceased to be used as a creche trigger a balancing charge or does the fact it is still a creche facility and our client is actively seeking a creche tenant mean that a balancing charge is not triggered
