I have an IT and ecommerce business which is 2 years old and within the last 13 months I have developed an ecommerce website which I am now looking to sell. Just selling the website, not the business.
I understand that entrepreneurial relief could be available to bring the CGT from 33% down to 10% but I’m confused about the part that states that the asset needs to be owned for 3 of the previous 5 years.
Given that the asset is only 1 year old and the company only 2 years old, does this preclude me from CGT relief?
Many thanks
