Question asked:


Client leasing land on 5 year lease. It is now year 5 and client would like to extent lease for another 2 years but does not want to commit to another 5 year lease (due to CAP uncertainty). Is it possible for the parties to extent the lease through a deed of variation and still qualify for relief in year 6 and 7. (lease has extended from 5 to 7 years)
