Alan, With regard to a director of a company that has suffered a large reduction in turnover and profit, our client is looking at cost savings - We are proposing to halve the salary of a Director - 1. Can a company make a director redundant and pay them redundancy, while remaining as an employee? 2. Can the reverse occur - make them redundant as an employee and remain as a director? Thanks, John.

In order to qualify for a redundancy payment, there must be a genuine redundancy. Possibly scenario 2.
