Eircom are currently offering severance packages. The release / finish dates for the employees are end of 2013 out to 30th June 2014.
Is it possible from a Revenue point of view for an employee to have a release date of 31/12/2016 and avail of the package now? The employee is in his early fifties and would like to work for another 3 years if possible but would also like to avail of the current package on offer.
Could you point me to any relevant sections of the taxes acts?
