Hi Alan, My client owns a house(not his PPR: I.E. a second property) on seven acres and this property is owned jointly between my client and his daughter 50/50. My client also owns a third cottage which is owned jointly by my client and his wife. My client wishes to transfer the cottage (approximate value €100K) to his daughter(the daughter that owns 50% of the other property) and in turn his daughter wishes to transfer to her dad the 50% of the property she co-owns with her dad(approximate value of the 50% is also €100K). Q: what are the tax implications for both the parent(s) and the daughter?
