Engineering company, the director is the sole employee. Director lives in south of the country but has an ongoing contract in Dublin (week on/week off). Commutes once a week, stays in Dublin. All costs related to travel, food, accommodation are paid using the company credit card. Is the best approach to disallow (for CT purposes) all costs associated with travel, subsistence and accommodation on the basis of the normal place of work rules, by adding back these costs in the CT comp? Is there a BIK exposure for the director?

Yes. Travel to work is not allowed. It is his own choice to live far from his place of work. Personal expenses (food and accommodation) funded by company are "emoluments" and PAYE-able. For qualifying expenses see SP IT 2 07
