I have a client who is a self employed computer programmer. She has been self employed for a number of years and is registered for Vat. She has a contract between herself and a particular company, the contract clearly states she is self employed , she bears all her own costs and is only paid for the number of days she works per month. She typically works 100- 120 days per annum for this company. She decides her own hours etc.. and is not answerable to anybody. This company since January has trying to convince her to become a Limited company as she could be liable to tax issues and the way revenue could view this arrangement. What is your view on this and what do you think of the transferring to a company? Her income is around 60k per annum including vat
