Question asked:

Hi Alan,
A Ltd co client has 3 employees, driver/ tour guides.
The employees typically travel with a group for 10 day overnight tours around Ireland.
Their remuneration is €150 per day.
The normal subsistence rates are €133.73 per day (reducing to 66.87 per day up to 56 nights)
This would leave only €16.27 to run through taxable pay on the higher initial subsistence rate
There is a note online, for absences over 56 nights, you must make an application to Revenue.
Are we best to contact Revenue in relation to same.
The client has advised that in the industry 65 per day is a common expense amount used.
