Hi I have a client who has a small company that is subcontracted by a large cabling company Both him and his employees travel around pulling through cables and maintaining cable access points. The majority of the time they visit multiple sites in one day and occasionally spend more than one day on one site (but rarely more than two days) Their payments from the principle contractor are subject to RCT My question is, can they claim subsistence and can this subsistence be claimed from the time their journey begins to the time they return From my own research, it would appear to me that they can, based on "Traveling Appointments" and the fact that "traveling is integral part of the job" and their normal place of work would be considered to be their employers base. They do of course travel in company van's and therefore could not claim site based expenses (country money) Thank you
