Client (farmer) wishes to transfer site to son of just over 1 acre, which will cover house site plus 1 acre, for son to build PPR. There is currently a derelict cottage on site. Does this need to be demolished before the transfer in order for client to avail of s603A CGT exemption? Son is OK with CAT due to Group 1 Threshold. Am I right in thinking there is no longer any relief from Stamp Duty and 2% applies?
