i HAVE A MEDICAL CONSULTANT CLIENT (OPERATES THROUGH A LIMITED COMPANY) WHO AS PART OF HIS PRACTICE PREPARES MEDICAL REPORTS FOR SOLICITORS AND ALSO INVOICES A PRIVATE HOSPITAL FOR A&E COVER
DOES HE NEED TO REGISTER FOR VAT AND CHARGE VAT ON HIS MEDICAL REPORT INVOICES TO SOLICITORS AND IF SO PRESUMABLY ONLY IF HE WOULD EXCEED €37,000 IN A YEAR ?
I PRESUME HE WOULD NOT BE CHARGING VAT ON HIS A&E INVOICES OR ON ANY OTHER MEDICAL SERVICES TO HIS PRIVATE CLIENTS ?
IF HE DOES REGISTER FOR VAT AND PAYS THE VAT ON THE MEDICAL REPORT INVOICES IS THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON THE VAT INPUTS THAT HE MAY BE ABLE TO CLAIM ?
THANK YOU
