I am renting a premises for a tattoo studio where I am charged monthly Rent with no VAT. I then have other artists who will pay me to rent space within the studio & they will then provide their own services to clients. The artists just pay me a weekly amount & they can come & go. I.e. it is short term subletting. I am not currently going above the VAT threshold for services through my own Tattoo sales. However if I was to factor in the rent contribution I would go over the threshold. Should I be factoring in this rent received as part of my income for the VAT threshold?
