Power to grant representation where no estate

Section 29 deals with the High Court's power to grant representation in relation to a deceased person's estate, even where there is no estate located within the State.

• The High Court can grant representation for a deceased person even if the deceased left no estate in the State.
• This power extends to de bonis non grants (grants to complete unfinished administration) and other forms of grant.
• The absence of unadministered estate within the State does not prevent the court from making such grants.
• This provision ensures that Irish courts can act in succession matters with an international dimension, regardless of whether assets are physically located in Ireland.
