Declaration of PEPP providers regarding PEPPs and vested PEPPs

Paragraph 12 of Schedule 2C sets out the requirements for the written declaration that a PEPP provider must make to an IREF in respect of units held as assets of a PEPP or a vested PEPP.

  • A PEPP provider must make a signed, written declaration to the IREF in a form prescribed by Revenue, confirming that the units are assets of a PEPP or vested PEPP managed by the provider for the beneficial owner.
  • The declaration must include the name, address and tax identification number (TIN) of the person beneficially entitled to the units.
  • The provider must undertake to notify the IREF if the units cease to be PEPP or vested PEPP assets, or if the PEPP or vested PEPP becomes a specified person.
  • The declaration must also include a certificate stating whether the unit holder is a specified person, any supporting documentation evidencing equivalence where relevant, and any other information Revenue may reasonably require.
