Commencement (Chapter 4)

Section 769F provides the commencement date for the Chapter dealing with capital allowances for transmission capacity rights.

  • The Chapter relating to capital allowances for transmission capacity rights comes into operation on the date of the passing of the Finance Act 2003.
  • The Finance Act 2003 was passed on 28 March 2003, so that is the effective commencement date for the Chapter.
  • No capital allowance claims for transmission capacity rights can arise in respect of periods before 28 March 2003.
