Declaration of PEPP provider

Paragraph 15 of Schedule 2B sets out the requirements for a written declaration that a PEPP provider must give to an investment undertaking in order for the exemption from exit tax under section 739D(6)(n) to apply.

  • A PEPP provider must provide a signed written declaration to the investment undertaking confirming that the units in question are assets of a PEPP and are managed by the provider for the beneficial owner.
  • The declaration must include the name, address and tax reference number of the individual who is beneficially entitled to the units.
  • The provider must undertake to notify the investment undertaking if the units cease to be PEPP assets, including where they are transferred to another PEPP.
  • The declaration must be in a form prescribed by the Revenue Commissioners and may include any other information they reasonably require.
