Income of body designated under Irish Takeover Panel Act, 1997

Section 219 exempts from corporation tax the income arising to the Irish Takeover Panel.

  • The Irish Takeover Panel is the body designated by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment under the Irish Takeover Panel Act 1997.
  • Income arising to the Panel in any accounting period ending after 30 April 1997 is exempt from corporation tax.
  • The exemption applies notwithstanding any other provision of the Corporation Tax Acts.
  • The Panel oversees and regulates the conduct of takeovers, mergers, and substantial acquisitions of shares in corporate bodies.
