Supplemental map - determinations on exclusions and date

Section 653H sets out the process by which a local authority evaluates and determines submissions from site owners seeking the exclusion of a site from a supplemental map, or a change to the date on which a site first satisfied the relevant criteria.

• A site owner may submit a request to have a site excluded from the final map, or to have the date on which the site first met the relevant criteria amended
• The local authority must evaluate the submission and notify the owner in writing of its determination by 1 August 2023
• The local authority may request further information from the owner, Irish Water, the National Roads Authority or other specified persons within 21 days of receiving the submission
• The notification must include the reasons for the determination and advise the owner of the right to appeal to An Bord Pleanála within one month
