Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings System Act 2024 section 104

Powers to make provision for purposes of communications and services

Section 104 empowers the Minister to make regulations governing the information and communications to be provided by the Authority and employers, and allows the Authority to specify the form and content of such communications and services.

  • The Minister may make regulations prescribing the information the Authority must provide to participants, employers, and others β€” including information arising from general obligations under section 102 and from specific determinations or notifications under other sections of the Act.
  • Regulations may also cover other communications or services (electronic or otherwise) that the Authority provides to participants, prospective participants, employers, and prospective or past employers for the purposes of the Act.
  • The Minister may prescribe the form in which information and communications are to be provided and the manner in which services are to be delivered.
  • Subject to the Act and any ministerial regulations, the Authority itself may specify and publish on its website requirements as to the form, content, and manner of communications and services β€” both those it provides and those it receives from participants and employers.
