Conditions of membership of Board

Section 13 sets out the terms of office, remuneration, and resignation procedures for members of the Board of the National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority.

• Board members hold office on terms set by the Minister, with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.
• The chairperson may receive additional remuneration or allowances to reflect the extra responsibilities of that role, again subject to ministerial consent.
• Any member may resign from the Board at any time by giving written notice to the Minister; the chairperson may also resign as chairperson without leaving the Board entirely.
• A resignation takes effect on the date stated in the notice or the date the Minister actually receives it, whichever is later.
