Regulations

Section 3 empowers the Minister to make regulations under the Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings System Act 2024 and sets out the parliamentary oversight process for such regulations.

  • The Minister may make regulations to prescribe any matter referred to in the Act as requiring prescription.
  • Regulations may include any incidental, supplementary, or consequential provisions the Minister considers necessary or expedient.
  • Every regulation must be laid before both Houses of the Oireachtas as soon as practicable after it is made.
  • Either House may annul a regulation by resolution within 21 sitting days of it being laid, without affecting anything already done under it.
