Request from Minister to Authority for report

Section 41 empowers the Minister to request special reports from the Authority on any matter connected with the Authority's or the Board's functions.

  • The Minister may, whenever he or she considers it appropriate, request the Authority to prepare and submit a report on any matter relating to the functions of the Authority or the Board.
  • There is no limit on the number or frequency of such requests — they may be made from time to time as the Minister sees fit.
  • The Authority is obliged to comply with each request within the timeframe specified by the Minister in the request itself.
  • The Minister and the Authority may agree an alternative deadline if the originally specified period is not feasible.
