Remuneration and expenses of members of Board and committees of Board

Section 21 provides for the remuneration and expenses payable to members of the Board and its committees.

• Board members may be paid remuneration and expense allowances as determined by the Minister, with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.
• External committee members (i.e. those who are not Board members, the chief executive, or Authority staff) may similarly be paid remuneration and expense allowances on the same ministerial approval basis.
• Board members, the chief executive, and other Authority staff receive no additional fees or remuneration for serving on a committee.
• All such remuneration and expense allowances are paid by the Authority from its own funds.
