Engagement of consultants and advisers

Section 31 allows the Authority to engage consultants and advisers to assist it in carrying out its functions, subject to public expenditure guidelines and ministerial directions.

• The Authority may hire consultants and advisers on whatever terms and for whatever period it considers necessary to perform its functions.
• Fees paid to engaged consultants and advisers must comply with guidelines issued by the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.
• All fees are paid by the Authority from its own available funds.
• The Authority must follow any directions on the engagement of consultants and advisers given by the Minister, with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.
