Rate of pension

Section 126 establishes the weekly payment rates for Bereaved Partner's (Contributory) Pension.

• The basic weekly rate of Bereaved Partner's (Contributory) Pension is €259.50, with an additional €58.00 available for a qualified adult dependant.
• Child-related increases are €78.00 per qualified child, regardless of whether the child is under or over 12 years of age.
• Additional weekly increases apply for claimants living alone (€22.00), those aged 80 or over (€10.00), and those ordinarily resident on an island off the Irish coast (€20.00).
• Claimants who have reached pensionable age receive a further increase of €39.80 per week on top of any other applicable increases.
