Information to be given by employers to Minister

Section 255 requires employers to provide the Minister with employment details needed to determine or review benefit claims.

  • Employers must supply written particulars about current or former employees, including periods of employment, when requested by the Minister.
  • The information is used to enable the determination or review of benefit claims made by or in respect of those employees.
  • Regulations may specify exactly what particulars must be provided and in what format.
  • Failure to comply with these requirements or the associated regulations is a criminal offence.
