Rates of periodical social assistance and increases

Schedule 4 Part 1 sets out the current weekly payment rates for means-tested social welfare benefits, including allowances for dependants and special circumstances.

• Weekly rates vary by benefit type, ranging from €163.70 for younger claimants to €405.00 for carers looking after multiple people
• Additional payments apply for qualified adults (up to €190.20), children under 12 (€58.00), and children aged 12 and over (€78.00)
• Extra weekly increases are available for those living alone (€22.00), those aged 80 or over (€10.00), and island residents (€20.00)
• Reduced rates apply to certain younger claimants under Jobseeker's Allowance and Supplementary Welfare Allowance
