Reporting of accidents by employers

Section 89 sets out the powers to make regulations requiring employers to report workplace accidents and assist with occupational injuries benefit claims.

  • Employers may be required to report workplace accidents that could give rise to occupational injuries benefit claims
  • Accident reports must be submitted in the prescribed format and within specified timeframes
  • Employers must provide information needed to process and determine benefit claims
