Medical treatment

Section 93 defines "medical treatment" for the purposes of the occupational injuries benefit provisions and explains how separate treatment periods may be linked together.

  • Medical treatment includes medical, surgical, or rehabilitative care.
  • It also covers any prescribed diet or other health regimen.
  • Multiple treatment periods with short gaps between them may be treated as one continuous period.
  • Regulations specify the maximum gap duration for linking treatment periods together.
