Increase of blind pension for one of a couple where spouse has not attained pensionable age

Schedule 4 Part 3 sets out a sliding scale of weekly payment increases for blind pension where the spouse has not achieved pensionable age.

• The maximum weekly increase of €168.60 applies where weekly means do not exceed €7.60
• For each €2.50 rise in weekly means, the payment typically decreases by approximately €1.60 to €1.70
• The sliding scale continues through 101 bands up to weekly means of €257.60
• No increase is payable once weekly means exceed €257.60
