Other functions of Chief Appeals Officer

Section 310 provides for additional functions of the Chief Appeals Officer in relation to appeals.

  • The Chief Appeals Officer may be assigned additional functions relating to appeals under this Part.
  • These additional functions are ones that may be prescribed (i.e. set out in regulations).
  • "Functions" is broadly defined to include powers, duties and obligations.
  • This is an enabling provision allowing the scope of the Chief Appeals Officer's role to be extended as needed.
