Section 92 empowers the Minister to make regulations extending incapacity status and clarifying how days of incapacity and accident dates are determined for occupational injuries benefit.

  • Regulations may treat a person as incapable of work due to an accident even when standard rules would not apply
  • Rules can specify which days count, or do not count, as days of incapacity for work
  • Special provisions exist for determining the accident date for night workers and other unusual cases
  • These extended treatments apply specifically to occupational injuries benefit claims
