Commencement of certain provisions

Schedule 6 lists the commencement dates for certain provisions of the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005, showing when specific parts of the Act came into operation and noting subsequent amendments.

• Schedule 6 sets out the commencement dates for selected provisions of the SWCA 2005, working in conjunction with section 364 which gives the Minister power to appoint start dates by order.
• Paragraphs 1 and 2 were deleted by the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2014, section 21.
• Paragraph 3 deals with old age (contributory) and retirement pension, including the extension of entitlement to reduced rate pensions and changes to contribution conditions, and was amended by SI 102/2012.
• Paragraph 4 deals with the transfer of Supplementary Welfare Allowance functions, amended by the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2008.
