Report on one-parent family payment changes

Section 178F requires the Minister to prepare and publish a report reviewing the impact of changes to one-parent family payment since 2012.

• The Minister must commission a report within 3 months of the Social Welfare Act 2016 being passed.
• The report must examine the financial and social effects of all amendments to one-parent family payment made since 1 January 2012.
• Particular attention must be given to the impact on welfare dependency levels and poverty rates among recipients.
• A copy of the completed report must be laid before both Houses of the Oireachtas within 9 months of the Act's passing.
