Annual report

Section 308 requires the Chief Appeals Officer to prepare an annual report on the activities of the appeals officers and to provide additional information to the Minister on request.

• The Chief Appeals Officer must submit an annual report to the Minister within 6 months of the end of each year.
• The report covers the activities of both the Chief Appeals Officer and the appeals officers.
• The Minister lays copies of the report before both Houses of the Oireachtas.
• The Minister may direct the format and additional content of the report and may request further information at any time.
