Section 349 previously dealt with payments under attachment of earnings orders but has been repealed.

  • Section 349 originally governed payments made under attachment of earnings orders in the context of social welfare overpayments.
  • The section was repealed by section 7 of the Social Welfare and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024.
  • The repeal means the provisions previously contained in this section no longer have legal effect.
  • Any attachment of earnings arrangements relating to social welfare matters are now governed by other applicable provisions.
