Section A comprises one division: 02, titled 'Logging', which falls under the group '02.2' and class '02.20'. Its corresponding international standard industrial classification is '0220'.

Section B contains the following divisions, groups and classes:

  • Division 05 - Mining of coal and lignite; which includes the groups '05.1 - Mining of hard coal' (classified as '0510') and '05.2 - Mining of lignite' (classified as '0520').
  • Division 06 - Extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas; that comprises the groups '06.1 - Extraction of crude petroleum' (classed as '0610') and '06.2 - Extraction of natural gas' (classed as '0620').
  • Division 07 - Mining of metal ores; incorporating two groups: '07.1 - Mining of iron ores' (classed as '0710'), and '07.2 - Mining of non-ferrous metal ores', which is further divided into '07.21 - Mining of uranium and thorium ores' (classed as '0721') and '07.29 - Mining of other non-ferrous metal ores' (classed as '0729').
  • Division 08 - Other mining and quarrying; which includes numerous groups such as '08.1 - Quarrying of stone, sand and clay', '08.9 - Mining and quarrying not elsewhere classified' and several others. Some of these groups are further divided into classes, each having their own domain. For example, the group '08.1' is divided into two '08.11 - Quarrying of ornamental and building stone, limestone, gypsum, chalk and slate' and '08.12 - Operation of gravel and sand pits; mining of clays and kaolin' both classes fall under '0810' international standard industrial classification.

Each of these classifications help in the understanding and tracking of industrial movements and sectors.
