Companies Act 2014 section 954

Director's annual report

Section 954 required the Director of Corporate Enforcement to prepare and submit an annual report on the activities and performance of the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE) to the Minister. This section has since been repealed.

  • The Director of Corporate Enforcement was obliged to prepare a written annual report covering the activities and performance of the ODCE each year.
  • The report had to be presented to the Minister within four months after the end of the year to which it related, an extension from the previous three-month deadline.
  • The Minister was then required to ensure that copies of the annual report were laid before each House of the Oireachtas no later than six months after the end of the relevant year.
  • This section was repealed by the Companies (Corporate Enforcement Authority) Act 2021, reflecting the replacement of the ODCE with the Corporate Enforcement Authority.
