Merger may not be put into effect save in accordance with this Chapter

Section 1130 establishes that a merger involving a public limited company may only be carried out in strict compliance with the rules set out in this Chapter, and that all other required approvals must also be obtained.

  • No merger can proceed without any approval, authorisation, or consent required by other legislation.
