Transfer of functions of Director to Authority

Section 944E provides for the transfer of all functions from the Director of Corporate Enforcement to the Corporate Enforcement Authority on the establishment day, and ensures that references to the Director in other legislation are read as references to the Authority.

  • All functions previously held by the Director of Corporate Enforcement transferred to the Corporate Enforcement Authority on the establishment day.
  • References to the Director or the Director's office in any other enactment are now to be read as references to the Authority.
  • References to the Director or the Director's office in any instrument made under another enactment are also to be read as references to the Authority.
  • These interpretive rules are subject to section 36 of the Companies (Corporate Enforcement Authority) Act 2021, which may provide for specific exceptions or transitional arrangements.
