Companies Act 2014 section 957B

Provisions applicable where Director receives particulars, etc., from Supervisory Authority concerning relevant contravention and relevant director

Section 957B dealt with the procedures that applied when the Director of Corporate Enforcement received information from the Supervisory Authority about a relevant contravention by a relevant director, but this section has been repealed.

  • This section was introduced by the Companies (Statutory Audits) Act 2018 to establish procedures for handling information passed from the Supervisory Authority to the Director of Corporate Enforcement.
  • The section concerned cases where the Supervisory Authority identified a relevant contravention involving a relevant director and forwarded the particulars to the Director.
  • The section has been fully repealed by the Companies (Corporate Enforcement Authority) Act 2021, which replaced the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement with the Corporate Enforcement Authority.
  • Any equivalent provisions or powers are now dealt with under the framework established by the 2021 Act and the Corporate Enforcement Authority.
