Requirements for Chapter to apply

Section 1150 sets out the condition that must be met for the Chapter on divisions to apply, namely that at least one of the companies involved must be a public limited company (PLC).

  • This Chapter governs divisions involving public limited companies (PLCs).
  • The Chapter applies where all of the companies involved in the division are PLCs.
  • The Chapter also applies where only one of the companies involved is a PLC.
  • If none of the companies involved in the division is a PLC, this Chapter does not apply.
