Compensation for wrongful termination, other powers of removal not affected by section 146

Section 147 deals with protecting a removed director's right to compensation and preserving other powers of removal that exist outside section 146.

  • A director removed under section 146 retains the right to claim compensation or damages for the termination of their appointment.
  • Any other legal remedies available to the removed director remain fully intact.
  • This protection extends to the directorship itself and to any other appointment that terminates as a consequence of the directorship ending.
  • Other powers to remove a director that exist outside of section 146 are not diminished or affected in any way.
