Publication in relation to insolvency proceedings

Section 711 sets out the publication requirements that must be followed when insolvency proceedings are opened, including what information must be published, where it must be published, and who is responsible for ensuring publication takes place.

  • Specific details about the insolvency proceedings β€” including the opening judgment, the liquidator's appointment and contact details, and the jurisdictional basis β€” must be formally published
  • Publication must appear in the Official Gazette (Iris OifigiΓΊil) and in at least two daily morning newspapers circulating in the State
  • The liquidator is responsible for ensuring publication is carried out, without affecting obligations under section 1050(1)
  • Where the insolvent company has an establishment in the State, the liquidator or a relevant authority under the EU Insolvency Regulation must ensure publication occurs as soon as practicable after proceedings open
