Employees (including provision of a transitional nature)

Section 922 deals with the power of the Supervisory Authority to employ staff, the conditions governing such employment, and the transitional arrangements for employees already in service before this section commenced.

• The Supervisory Authority may employ staff as it considers necessary, subject to the staffing limits set out in its work programme under section 910.
• The numbers, grades, and terms and conditions of employees must be determined with the prior approval of the Minister, given with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform.
• The Authority may also engage professional and other advisers from time to time as needed.
• Existing employees of the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority at the time this section commenced continued in employment on the same terms and conditions as previously applied.
