Companies Act 2014 section 692

Location of meeting

Section 692 sets out the rules for choosing the location of meetings of creditors, contributories and members during a company liquidation.

• The person convening a meeting must choose the most convenient location for the majority of attendees
• This applies whether attendees are creditors, contributories, members or any combination of these groups
• Different groups may be given different meeting times or locations
• The provision replaces the former Order 74 rule 59 of the Rules of the Superior Courts
