Companies Act 2014 section 1063

Registration of interest disclosed under section 1062

Section 1063 requires a PLC to record in its register of interests in shares any information it receives in response to enquiries made under section 1062 about persons holding interests in the company's shares.

  • When a PLC receives information from an investigation under section 1062, it must record the fact that a requirement was imposed and the date it was imposed, against the name of the registered shareholder
  • All information received about current interests held by any person in the company's relevant share capital must also be entered in the register
  • This information must be entered in a separate part of the register of interests in shares maintained under section 1061, not in the main body of that register
  • The same rules that govern the maintenance of the register of interests under section 1061 also apply to this separate part of the register
