Companies Act 2014 section 724B

Disclosure of Information by Registrar of Beneficial Ownership

Section 724B enables the Registrar of Beneficial Ownership to formally notify the Registrar of Companies when a company has failed to deliver required beneficial ownership information under the RBO Regulations.

• The Registrar of Beneficial Ownership may issue a written notice to the Registrar of Companies regarding a company's non-compliance
• The notice relates specifically to a failure to deliver information required by paragraphs (1) or (2) of Regulation 20 of the RBO Regulations
• This creates a formal communication channel between the two registrars to address beneficial ownership reporting failures
• The provision gives the Registrar of Beneficial Ownership an explicit legal basis to share compliance failure information with the Registrar of Companies
